Reports to: Welder
Position Summary
The Welder Helper is responsible for assisting welders on the job with the loading and unloading of welding equipment, setting up and maintaining the welding equipment, and assisting the welder in the welding process.

Essential Functions Statement:
- Conduct preventative maintenance of welding equipment and tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of designated work area.
- Assist welders with set-up of rig and moving between work areas.
- Ensure welders have required materials and tools available.
- Follow welders' instructions to adjust welding machine temperatures.
- Maintain knowledge of various types of metal.
- Operate various tools and types of equipment.
- Attend on-site safety meetings.
- Identify safety risks and hazards and comply with relevant safety procedures and regulations.

Work Hours and Schedule
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday - Saturday from either 7am-5pm or 8am-6pm. Schedule and hours may vary based on business needs.
Required Experience
Experience: 0-1 years' experience as a welding assistant.
Preferred Education and Experience
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 1+ years' experience as a welding assistant.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.
