Description:

The shop welder performs welding operations in a shop environment. The employee is responsible for ensuring all documentation (drawing, methods & procedures) are complete & at the workstation. The employee will be responsible for layout and fabrication of assigned work. The position may operate a variety of shop equipment and tools. The position may assist other craft workers.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

MIG, TIG, Stick & Structural Welding
Plasma Cutter and Torch
Operate Metal Saw
Must be able to work in close conjunction with others
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures work area each day to eliminate potential hazards
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the site supervisor
Operate or tend equipment and machines used in shop manufacturing
Follow drawings and instructions from team leader and supervisors
Follow all safety regulations
Abide by all personal protective equipment rules and guidelines as set by APS, Inc. and their customers.
