About the role;

The primary objective of this position is to perform servicing, welding, repair, and maintenance on Tunnel Boring Machines to support and enable efficient and profitable contract delivery.

The role:

· Repair and upkeep of Tunnel Boring Machines

· Maintain and repair TBM ancillary equipment

· Performing welding duties

· Provide recommendations for problem solutions

· Undertake replacement of parts

· Carry out yard duties when required – this could be anything from washing machines to loading trucks

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualifications and/or experience:

· 2 years’ trade experience in related role

· Have knowledge or exposure to heavy mobile plant including boring machines

· Problem solving skills, analytical and resourceful

· Clear verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work without supervision

· Versatile, self-motivated and team oriented

· Ability to follow precise instructions and directions

· High level fabrication and welding skills

· Experience with gouging

· Understanding of production requirements

· Commitment to safety within the workplace
