Fitter Welder - Swing Shift

RWFAB is looking for an experienced Fitter Welder who will assist us in various aspects of our structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabrication projects. Salary - $26 - $30 per hour DOE

Full-time M-F 4:30pm - 1:00am

Job Description

As a Fitter Welder Fabricator, you will be tasked with fabrication and welding of various weldments in a production style environment. You are responsible for applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding equipment and fabrication tools.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

At least 3+ year of prior welding and fitting experience is preferred.
Experience using a wide variety of welding equipment and procedures is preferred.
Strong desire and ability to grow yourself and learn from others, while sharing your knowledge with others and building good relationships with peers
The ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop fabrication drawings.
Accurately take and read measurements to plan layout and align components using various measuring and fabrication tools.
Safely and accurately cut and join materials using appropriate equipment.
Ability to determine the appropriate welding equipment and/or method based on requirements.
Perform inspections and measurements of components to ensure tolerances and project specification requirements are met.
Follow all documented procedures.
Ensure communication flow down utilizing any means necessary; verbal, team meeting, taking notes, documenting instructions.
Maintain a high regard for quality of workmanship and compliance to customer requirements.
Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude and convey a willingness to learn.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Overtime may be required as business and scheduling needs demand.
Support and participate in department goals and company objectives.
Look for opportunities to learn and share your knowledge and skills.
Punctual attendance, be at your work area at shift start.
Treat others with respect and maintain a professional attitude.
